Sheryl originally had a website that was branded as a marketing company rather than as her own name. She was ready to to make a change to focus on her as the brand, rather than the previous Avenue L Marketing. Her current site was about seven years old and was not mobile responsive.
We worked with Sheryl to began transitioning copy from a “we” to “me” perspective. We created a new logo incorporating her name and and icon that reinforced the “acceleration” concept of her messaging and original website design. We then updated the design of her site to be more modern and fresh, while still retaining the speed concept.
We focussed on three key areas to update:
- The Home Page: Removed the slider and replaced with a single image with a CTA to drive visitors to the Portfolio page, Added a listing of the various related marketing functions Sheryl works with, and added a portfolio slider to feature previous projects.
- The Portfolio: created a consistent modern look with filtering on the type of project. Previous site had separate pages for Marketing and PR. We combined the two pages into one.
- The Blog: Replaced the Traditional Title, Image and Excerpt format with a more visual presentation utilizing image elements.
